Our much loved friend and former Associate Vicar of Holy Trinity Church was laid to rest on Friday, 17th August, in our churchyard.
The service began in Church at 12.00 noon, before making our way out to the churchyard for the burial. Refreshments were served afterwards in the South Room, Holy Trinity Church Rooms.
It was George's wish that any moneys donated at his funeral should be shared equally between Holy Trinity Church and St. Christopher's Hospice in Sydenham where he was so well cared for in the last weeks of his life.
It was also very much his wish that those who remember him, whether at his funeral or elsewhere, should reflect upon the fact that the best years of his life were, in his view, those spent in the service of his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
